ESSU "Nirvana" Zine

ESSU is a Tokyo-based artist, particularly known for his ornately illustrated faces. Piercing faces, surrounded by graceful frills and traditional Japanese lettering. All drenched in a heavy dose of street culture (smells like teenspirrit). When we came across his work, it immediately aroused our curiosity. Where do those faces come from? And what do they mean? The faces reminiscent of a friendly neighbor; or not so friendly. The zine features a wide range of works from illustrations to paste-ups, spray paint and more...
